Learning Targets
It is important to continually review these Learning Targets throughout the school year. They will be an importing piece to be successful in 8th grade!
No one is perfect – that’s why pencils have erasers. 
VocabularySimplest form  An algebraic expression is in simplest form when it has no like terms and no parentheses. To combine like terms that have variables, use the Distributive Property to add or subtract the coefficients.
Like Terms  terms that have the same variables raised to the same exponents. Constant terms are also like terms. To identify terms and like terms in an expression, first write the expression as a sum of its terms. Integers  include whole numbers, zero, and negative numbers. They do not include fractions or decimals. Rational Numbers  include integers, fractions and decimals. They can be positive or negative.
